Peace Prayers and Organizations

The fruit of silence is prayer
the fruit of prayer is faith
the fruit of faith is love
the fruit of love is service
the fruit of service is peace.

- Mother Teresa

The following are prayers dedicated to maintaining peace on earth. When you pray these prayers, feel and know that they are being answered now. Do not beg God for peace, for that would mean that you do not believe He will answer your prayers. It's the energy of knowingness and faith that you put out to God that receives His response.

Prayer for Raising the Consciousness of the Planet

Dearest God, please allow all of us on earth to rise to a higher level of consciousness where only peace prevails on earth. Help us release all negative and fearful energy now. Allow everyone to see what you see God, and that is your love within each and every one of us. Take away all negativity that blinds us from experiencing your total love.
Release negativity from all world leaders. Help them to release the energy that makes them want to conquer another country. Clear away their desire to attack and go to war. Please allow the world leaders to see that love and forgiveness are the most powerful weapons. From this point on, allow only peaceful leaders to come into power. From this point on, allow citizens of all countries to vote only for those who will maintain peace.
Allow your love to quickly dispel all negativity from everyone involved in terrorist activities. Let this love permeate them now so that they will never want to hurt anyone ever again. Allow them to now see how this change in them not only grants peace within themselves but grants peace within the world as well.
Remove all fear from the earth and grant peace to all earthbound spirits who died in acts of violence of terrorism. Please extend this peace to their families and friends as well. Release any cords that are binding them to the pain they have experienced from these terrorist acts. Please set them free now. Take away all their suffering now. Thank you.
Let your love shine through in the media, so that love and peace are the main focus, not war and violence. Allow those in the media to understand that they bring more energy to what they cover, so allow them to deliberately cover peaceful, positive events that make people feel good.
God, please surround the earth with millions of your angels helping to protect and shield our beautiful planet from all negative acts. Thank you for these angels, who are your helpers and messengers of light and are always there for us.
We now call upon the archangels. We first call upon Archangel Michael to help remove all negative energy from our planet. Michael, please help us to remove the negativity within ourselves first, enabling us to feel the peace within ourselves. We now ask you to remove the negativity of the leaders of all nations and of the entire mass consciousness.
We now call upon Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel, please help us to peacefully and effectively communicate our needs to others, allowing positive words to be spoken by all of us, especially our world's leaders. We also ask you to allow us all to see that effective communication is the first step in creating peace both within ourselves and the world as well.
We now call upon Archangel Uriel and ask him to please help us maintain this peace. Uriel, we also ask you to allow only those who are peacemakers to get elected and hold office from this point on.
We finally call upon Archangel Raphael and ask him to heal the planet from all past actions that have affected the world in a negative way. Raphael, we also ask you to replace all negative energy in the present time with the white light of God, thereby healing our beautiful planet.
We thank you God and all your wonderful angels for allowing us to experience total peace from this point on. We thank you for creating this heaven on earth now. We are sorry for the error of our ways in the past, but that is behind us now. For at this time and forevermore, only peace prevails on earth. And so it is!

Prayer to Create Peace Within

Dear God, help me to release anything that I am holding onto that is preventing me from experiencing your total peace. Right at this moment, help me to forgive anyone who has hurt me in any way. Also help me to forgive myself for those times when I have been less than perfect. Assist me in understanding the concept that anything besides love is just an illusion. With this newfound understanding, help me to release anything within myself that is blocking this love right now. As I find peace within myself, help me to extend this peace to the world.. I adore you and thank you so much. Amen.

Prayer to Become an Instrument of Peace

God, show me what I can do to become an instrument of your peace. Guide me to perfect situations each and every day where I can be of service to my fellow man. Assist me in putting my ego aside so I will fully be able to see the needs of others. In coming to the aid of my fellow man, I am helping you God, and I'm helping myself as well. Allow me to give as freely to others as you have given freely to me. Let me spread your peace on this beautiful planet now and always. I love you God and I'm so honored to be of service to you. Amen

Peace Prayers of Different Religions

I love to incorporate the peace prayers from various religions during peace meditations that I hold at my center. During these meditations, I have eleven candles available (one for each major religion). I ask each person who is there to read one prayer and light a candle for that religion. It really works out great. You may want to try this at home or wherever you are. Although it incorporates different religions, it shows that we are really all the same - we all want peace on earth!

The Baha'i for Peace

Be generous in prosperity and thankful in adversity.
Be fair in thy judgment, and guarded in thy speech.
Be a lamp unto those who walk in darkness, and a home to the stranger.
Be eyes to the blind, and a guiding light unto the feet of the erring.
Be a breath of life to the body of humankind, a dew upon the soil
of the human heart,
and a fruit upon the tree of humility.

Buddhist Prayer for Peace

May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and
mind quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid
and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power,
and may people think of befriending one another.
May those who find themselves in trackless,
fearful wildernesses - the children, the aged, the unprotected -
be guarded by beneficent celestials,
and may they quickly attain Buddhahood.

Christian Prayer for Peace

Blessed are the Peacemakers
for they shall be known as the Children of God.
But I say to you that hear, love your enemies, do good to those
who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who
abuse you.
To those who strike you on the cheek, offer the other also, and
from those who take away your cloak, do not withhold your coat
as well.
Give to everyone who begs from you, and of those who take
away your goods, do not ask for them again.
And as you wish that others would to do you,
do so to them.

Hindu Prayer for Peace

Oh God, lead us from the unreal to the real.
Oh God, lead us from darkness to light.
Oh God, lead us from death to immortality.
Shanti, Shanti, Shanti unto all.

Oh Lord God Almighty, may there be peace in celestial regions.
May there be peace on earth.
May the waters be appeasing.
May herbs be wholesome, and may trees and plants bring peace to all.
May all beneficent beings bring peace to us.
May thy Vedic Law propagate peace all through the world.
May all things be a source of peace to us.
And may thy peace itself bestow peace on all.
And may that peace come to me also.

Jainist Prayer for Peace

Peace and Universal Love is the essence of the Gospel preached
by all the Enlightened Ones.
The Lord has preached that equanimity is the Dharma.
Forgive do I, creatures all,
and let all creatures forgive me.
Unto all have I amity, and unto none enmity.
Know that violence is the root cause of all miseries in the world.
Violence in fact, is the knot of bondage.

"Do not injure any living being."
This is the eternal, perennial, and unalterable
way of spiritual life.

A weapon, howsoever powerful it may be,
can always be superseded by a superior one;
but no weapon can, however,
be superior to non-violence and love.

Jewish Prayer for Peace

Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord ,that we may walk
the paths of the most high.
And we shall beat our swords into ploughshares, and our spears
into pruning hooks.
Nations shall not lift up sword against nation - neither shall they
learn war any more.
And none shall be afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has
spoken.

Muslim Prayer for Peace

In the name of Allah the beneficent, the merciful, praise be to
the Lord of the Universe, who has created us and made us into
tribes and nations that we may know each other, not that we
may despise each other.
If the enemy incline towards peace, do thou also incline towards
peace, and trust God, for the Lord is the one that heareth and
knoweth all things.
And the servants of God, most Gracious, are those who walk on
the earth in humility, and when we address them, we say "Peace."

Native African Prayer for Peace

Almighty God, the Great Thumb
we cannot evade to tie any knot.
The Roaring Thunder that splits mighty trees;
the all-seeing Lord up on high who sees
even the footprints of an antelope on a rock mass here on earth.
You are the one who does not hesitate to respond to our call.
You are the cornerstone of peace.

Native American Prayer for Peace

Oh Great Spirit of our ancestors, I raise my pipe to you;
To your messengers in the four winds, and
to Mother Earth who provides for your children.
Give us the wisdom to teach our children to love, to respect, and
to be kind to each other, so that they may grow with peace in
mind.
Let us learn to share all good things that you provide for us on
this earth.

Shinto Prayer for Peace

Although the people living across the ocean surrounding us,
I believe are all our brothers and sisters, why are there
constant troubles in the world?
Why do winds and waves rise in the ocean surrounding us?
I only earnestly wish that the wind will soon puff away all the
clouds which are hanging over the tops of the mountains.

We pray to God to eradicate all the misery in the world.
that understanding triumph over ignorance,
that generosity triumph over indifference,
that trust triumph over contempt, and
that truth triumph over falsehood.
